Cash rounding is now mandatory in Belgium, but we’re ready

As of December 1, 2019, the Belgian government requires certain businesses to round the total amount payable by their individual customers to the nearest 5 cents. This law applies to sales where both the merchant and the customer are physically present and to online orders that are picked up in-store and paid for in cash.

To specifically help Belgian merchants start rounding cash payments and sales totals on receipts, the French (Belgian) and Flemish print templates are coded to abide by the law. To start rounding today, please see Cash rounding on sales receipts.
